Patient Forms: Day 1
Upon entering our office, our receptionist will welcome you as a member of our family. We will request that you complete our patient forms located in the New Patient Center. This paperwork provides us with your health history and information on your condition.
Consultation: Day 1
Next, you will have a consultation with Dr. John Grumish or Dr. Sean Schroer to discuss your health-related problems, concerns, and potential treatment options. This initial visit is designed for the doctors at Grumish Chiropractic to learn more about you, your condition, and expectations to determine how chiropractic care can meet your goals.
Examination: Day 1
After your consultation, the doctors at Grumish Chiropractic will perform a complete chiropractic examination testing your reflexes and flexibility. Other standard neurological, orthopedic, postural, and physical tests will be performed as well. However, nothing will be done in our office without your consent.
X-Ray Studies: Day 1
We will take X-rays as well. X-rays help us develop the most effective treatment plan for you, and alert us of any serious spinal conditions. Most people are amazed once they see their X-rays up close. In some cases, they can even identify their misalignments and degeneration themselves.
Report of Findings: Day 2
Once the information is collected and examinations are performed, Dr. John Grumish or Dr. Sean Schroer will give you a detailed report of all findings and answer any questions including:
- How can you help me?
- How often do I need to come in?
- What will my treatment cost?
After reviewing your health history, goals, and examining your spine and X-rays, the doctors at Grumish Chiropractic will discuss recommendations and notify you if your condition requires care with other providers. Dr. John Grumish or Dr. Sean Schroer will provide the best treatment and wellness program for your needs.
Treatment: Day 2
At the conclusion of this initial appointment, you can choose to experience your first treatment. This may include spinal adjustments, physical therapy, and/or soft tissue massage. Treatment is interactive, so you can express concerns about the different styles of treatment anytime.
Prior to leaving, the doctor will suggest a wellness program to incorporate outside of treatment. If you are in pain when you first come into our office this may include: ice or heat application instructions, certain activities or positions to avoid, and at home exercises and/or stretches
Self-Care Workshop
Do you want to accelerate your treatment plan and feel better faster? The Self-Care workshop was designed just for you! Our wellness workshops are scheduled every 2 weeks on Wednesdays at noon and 6 p.m., giving you convenient options for attending around your schedule. Dr. Schroer gives an informative and entertaining lecture on how you can make simple changes today to take back your health.
When patients attend the self-care workshop, they learn how to make the most of their adjustments. We have found in our many years of practice that class participants require fewer adjustments to optimize their healing and maintain their wellness. In addition, you will learn valuable techniques that you can put into immediate practice to prevent injury and be able to move more efficiently with less pain.
You will definitely want to attend a workshop early in the course of your treatment plan in order to get the maximum benefit! Bring a guest for free. Current patients are welcomed and encouraged to attend a refresher session at any time.
